Hi there
Im a newbie and need some help protecting my sites
I have just spent the last hour reading post about sites getting hacked and am a bit worried about this. Can anyone suggest what i can do to make phpnuke more secure
Im running phpnuke 7.7

I see a lot of sites where the owner doesn't customize the site key or the keywords. Then they use the same username and weak password for everything on their site and other sites they join. Another lazy habit is not updating the forums when updates are issued. The update may be a fix to an exploit that was discovered. Many people also leave installation and upgrade files on their server, which I am told is not a good idea. Every little bit helps:
