How to disable the security code?

OK, yes I am new but I need the newbie hand holding....lol

The nuke site I have now has the code number space/block.
IE: you enter you user name & password then must enter a code number.

Last week it did not do this nor has it ever, then all of a sudden it has shown up.

The web host says he has done nothing to the site or the server to cause this.
I do not recall adding anything to the site.

Got any ideas on how this has happened, and how to get rid of it?

I liked the way it was, no code to enter!!

If you have a later version of php-nuke edit the config.php file.
